Overview

The Camden at a glance

The Camden is the original London Locks brush. It's a wet and dry detangling brush for long or short hair, afros and weaves, with teeth designed to gently unwind knots and tangles. Use it on wet hair after a wash or on dry hair before you head out. It comes in lots of colours, so you can pick one that suits you. Fancy the same brush in glossy gold? Have a look at the Chelsea.

Best for

  • Long or short hair
  • Afros and weaves
  • Detangling wet or dry

How to use

  1. Start with a small section of hair.

  2. Brush the ends first, then work up towards the roots.

  3. Take it slowly over knots and let the teeth ease them out.

  4. On curly or afro hair, many people find damp, conditioned hair easiest to detangle.

Questions

Can the Camden be used on afro hair?
Yes. The Camden is made for afros and weaves as well as long or short hair, and it works wet or dry. Its teeth are designed to gently unwind knots and tangles, so work through afro hair in small sections, starting at the ends.
Is the Camden a wet brush or a dry brush?
It's both. The Camden is a wet and dry detangler, so you can use it on freshly washed hair or on dry hair. Curly and afro hair is often easier to detangle damp, and straighter hair is usually fine brushed dry.
What's the difference between the Camden and the Chelsea?
Mostly the look. London Locks describes both brushes in the same words: long or short hair, afros and weaves, wet or dry, with teeth that gently unwind knots and tangles. The Camden is the original and comes in lots of colours; the Chelsea is glossy gold.
